Dawn Johannes was born in New York City, Spanish Harlem, “El Barrio,” during the radical 1960’s. She spent her early childhood growing up in theSouth Bronx. As a young adult, she lived in Harlem and upper Manhattan for many years and then moved near Woodstock, NY.
She was educated within the New York City public school system. She has her Bachelors in English, Masters in Literacy and Ph.D. in Biblical Theology. After experiencing the trauma of September 11th, she decided to become a New York City public school teacher and high school administrator.
She is a minister, educator, life coach, certified Gut Healht Advocate, college Dean, life-long learner and a lover of souls. She holds seminars, educational forums, and workshops on spiritual, personal, professional growth and development and her GUT TALK, wellness movement series. These sessions are in person and virtual.
Her first book “As the Story Goes,” is a memoir revealing her immigrant grandparents struggles in Harlem during the Great Depression and so forth. She is currently working on her third book, “What's In Your Hand: Impossibilities Can Manifest.”
