There have been times in life in which many of us ponder things..."should I or shouldn't I?" This is not an unusual question. I was once at that point..."should I or shouldn't I?" What always entrapped my thoughts were fear, doubt, insecurity and yes, even rejection. I too asked myself that question, a myriad of times. Whether it was ending a relationship, returning to school in my thirties or relocating to a new state in my mid-fifties. "should I or shouldn't I?" Yes, what a hefty question, especially when life was leading toward a capricious path!
We've all have had to make life-altering decisions--marriage, divorce, death of a loved one, relocation, career transition, just to name a few. It is no doubt that during these episodes of life, we often ponder "should I or shouldn't I ?" It is during these burgeoning scenarios that fear strangles our motivation and doubt sets in with authority. Too often, doubt becomes our identity and hope becomes deceased.
Yet, hope can easily be resurrected! Sometimes all we need is someone to listen too us but ofttimes we need more than that. I've always needed the "more than that," for my hope to be resurrected. Fortunately, even to this day, I still have access to the "more than that" For many a nights, my "more than that" was a mentor, Coach, Pastor, husband, wise friend, mother. These individuals alway supported me in answering the question "Should I or Shouldn't I?"
